Glacier Landing Tours
How is it different than other glaciers, you may ask? No other place has the scale and vertical relief. Denali and its sister peaks dominate the scene to portray an ice age world of flowing glaciers and awe inspiring scenery.
The National Park Service has awarded Talkeetna Air Taxi a concession for landing on the glaciers of Denali National Park, granting us the ability to land in various locations within the Alaska Range. Your pilot will assess weather, lighting and snow conditions to determine your best landing site. TAT is known throughout Alaska as “The Glacier Landing Company” and conducts more glacier landings than any other company in the world!
All you need to enjoy the excitement of standing among the great peaks is a jacket, sunglasses, closed toe shoes and long pants and a sense for adventure. We provide the waterproof over boots that fit on over your shoes to keep them dry and snow free. Enjoy the sun, snow, and the unique features of the glacier and make sure you have space in your camera for hundreds of pictures!
A glacier landing takes an additional 30 minutes (15 minutes of time exploring on foot and 15 minutes for landing and takeoff) and can be added to any flight tour for $110 per person. A $15 per person entrance fee for the Denali Park glacier landing is due at the time of your flight unless you already have a National Park Pass. For children 16 and under, a National Park Pass is not required.
If you book a tour with a Glacier landing, please follow the link here to purchase a National Park Pass.
This pass will be good for seven days and can be purchased as far in advance as needed. Park Passes are required for anyone 15 and over. If you have an Annual Pass or Senior Pass it is valid for the Glacier Landing. If you are joining one of the Denali National Park bus trips within seven days of your glacier landing trip with us, your entrance fee is covered.
We perform more glacier landings than any other company in the world.
