Plane River Access

Due to the bulk that is usually associated with this raft trip we offer flights with our fixed wing aircraft to get all your gear in with as few loads as possible.  We are excited to offer this service and look forward to getting you on the river.  Please call in advance to reserve your flight date.

Talkeetna Air Taxi operates a De-Havilland Otter, that specializes in raft and kayak drop-offs in the Talkeetna area.  The Otter is equipped with an Alaska door allowing for easier loading of rafts and kayaks and can typically carry four passengers plus gear.  Drop-offs will be early morning due to favorable weather patterns at that time in the Talkeetna Mountains.  8 a.m. is the desired departure time with a 7:30 am check in time.

$1,800 per load to the Upper Talkeetna River.

Helicopter River Access

Want a ride out to the start of your next river adventure?  One of the advantages of our helicopter is its ability to land in hard-to-access locations, making it an ideal form of transport for rafters and pack rafters.

Points of access are numerous but include:

Clear Creek
Talkeetna Canyon
Sheep River
Disappointment Creek
Sheep Creek

Helicopter rates are $750/hour and can carry up to 600 pounds per load.
Individual passenger weight limit for helicopter flights is 280 lbs.
